Airfares offered on Friday tend to be the cheapest, according to flight demand on Travelocity.ca in 2021. Purchasing your airfares on a Thursday or Saturday can also provide better value, however our advice if you’re looking to save money is to avoid booking on a Wednesday or Sunday. Our data shows that those two days have the highest ticket values on average, so keep this in mind if you’re browsing flight deals.
Frequent travellers may already know this, earlier in the week is often the cheapest time to fly. Flights departing on a Monday are the cheapest of the week. Since flights towards the middle of the week tend to be more popular, this causes the prices to rise. This is why, on average, airfares booked on Travelocity.ca in 2021 were most expensive for Wednesday departures.
Here’s the deal: It is typically possible to start comparing international airfares on Travelocity.ca up to 12 months in advance. However, it does depend on the carrier as not all airlines release their prices that far out. According to our 2021 flight demand trends, last minute planners can still bag a bargain with some of the cheapest fares appearing 2-4 weeks prior to their travel dates.

The pure emotion of Prague in the Czech Republic is waiting for you to tap into it. From architectural expeditions to pilsner-powered beer tours, this UNESCO World Heritage site inspires all sorts of travelers. Prague Castle, the Dancing House, and Old Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock offer a mix of classic and modern, while pubs and eateries deliver fuel for tired feet and hungry bellies. Vacations to Prague start at Václav Havel Airport (PRG). The airport is much more than a host to Prague flights, though. PRG mirrors the attractions of the city which it serves.
In addition to the duty-free shopping that you would expect at an international airport and hotels near PRG, the airport has conference and business halls as well as a museum, a movie theater, and a permanent exhibition showcasing the country’s aviation history. Like most major metropolitan airports, PRG has many convenient transportation options to get you into town. Public buses pick up riders outside of Terminals 1 and 2. Metro Lines A and B have various stops throughout the city, while Metro Line C is an express that links PRG with Prague Main Train Station. Tickets for the bus can be bought inside the terminal at Public Transit counters. In addition to public buses, Cedaz operates a shuttle bus to downtown leaving every 30 minutes.
PRG also provides official taxi services. Grab a cab outside either terminal’s arriving hall. Rental car companies are located in Parking Lot C outside of Terminal 1. Flights to Prague may be the start of a European adventure, but from there, you may be jumping from place to place via the Intercity Coach. For that service, head outside under the elevated highway at Parking Lot C.
Book your airfare to pure emotion today with Travelocity. Search through our big selection of options to find cheap flights to Prague. Ales and architecture await!
