Reviving the Best Futuristic Story With Evangelion Fan Art

Death Note and Neon Genesis Evangelion — here are the two canonic anime series I can’t imagine myself without. Probably, this is how I discovered the essence of life and morality as a teenager. And I’m sure I’m not the only one. However, the latter somehow evokes most of my nostalgic feelings. So on my way rewatching the tetralogy (and still hoping to see the last film this year) I’m pleased to share some Evangelion fan art, conveying that ambiance of good old mecha.

I can still see myself swallowing one episode after another. I redrew almost all characters then and even tried to make my own manga chapters (I wonder if they might have been a success ). Neon Genesis Evangelion was the first ‘mature’ anime series I watched, and it evoked a mix of total fascination and unanswered questions. Truth be told, I still have many!

Today, I feel so thankful for this incredible universe to be in my life: with an unforgettable opening theme, deep philosophical significance, characters I could associate myself with. And of course, it introduced millions of teens to the mecha anime — so eventually, many of us got their best anime genre.

Gravity Falls Fan Art: Here Starts a Great Adventure!

The days I spent watching Gravity Falls were probably the best in my boring and so predictable adulthood. This story got everything the picky audience may ask for: a gripping plot, charismatic characters, humor — so all you want is another episode. In fact, I wish I watched this series while growing, and I slightly envy all teens who had this chance.

Emergency hugs for everyone missing Gravity Falls universe! I can barely remember a recent Disney series that received so much attention from the community and was praised for just everything. No matter whether you are ten of thirty-five, you’ll end up dreaming of such siblings as Dipper and Maber — and of Uncle Stan, Soos, and Wendy as your everpresent companions.

You know, with every single episode, I had mixed fillings. At a time, I was choking on cuteness and embarrassment (as if it was me going through my first love story with Mermando ) — and giggling at gnomes throwing up rainbows. As if all of the best human experiences met the most weird and awkward moments, and here’s what we’ve got!

Exploring The Spider-Verse With Spider-Man Art

It’s mind-blowing how many spider-man versions exist there; I can totally get lost. Thanks to this collection of Spider-Man art, not only I’ve rewatched all the movies, but I’ve also discovered the cartoon I had somehow missed, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and as an artist, I was super-amazed!

It’s like everyone’s favorite story about the guy bitten by the radioactive spider that can never end! New interpretations, characters, villains, adventures — that’s only a small part of the reasons to love this comics diversity for. To be fair, I had a certain skepticism about this and considered all doppelgangers to be just the marketing tool, squeezing out the plot till it droughts, making money on the fame of well-known characters everyone does. Now, look at me, putting together the Spider-Man art, consisting practically on 90% of the cartoon-related illustrations. That’s what I call a self-development!

You can be a loyal Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield fan, but as soon as you see the cute Spider-Ham, your list of favorites gets one position longer. And no, it’s not the Simpsons-related gig with Peter Porker — the character fist appeared back in 1983 comics. A pretty curious little fact. Switching to something more said: I’ve cried rivers over the death of Gwen Stacey, oh boy, that tragic moment in the picture. Again, I didn’t know about her being alive and having spider-woman superpowers in some parallel universe, what a nice surprise I must say.

I know I’ve put so many nails in the coffin of my comics-related ignorance, but it doesn’t matter when it comes to spider-man art, I’ve had a blast collecting these images. The second part of Spider-Verse won’t be out until 2022, so we have plenty of time to savour the taste of masterly-drawn Spider-Man art by a bunch of talented folks.

Legend of Zelda Fan Art: Easier Than Rescuing Princesses

We’ve all have dealt with adventures of Link, at some point. It’s that particular type of pop culture phenomenon, that you don’t have to be a whiz at to discuss with someone. Besides, it’s so convenient that each edition has its own course of events with new incarnations of the main characters — in terms of chit-chat at the party and creating a Legend of Zelda fan art.

There must be something with Japanese game developers and the princess rescue theme — don’t say that you haven’t compared Legend of Zelda with Mario adventures for once (psss, we’ve got Mario fan art covered as well, by the way). Whatever that is, they sure know how to make an engaging plot, wrapped into a colorful magic world. How can it not become an inexhaustible source for creative concepts, fresh ideas and story-based illustrations?

Dare to admire the Link and Zelda fan art, shown in their unique representation! You can think of it as a little exercise for imagination: pretend like you’re playing the newly-released game, created in the original style. It can be super-realistic or too cartoonish on the contrary, who said this version of Hyrule can’t exist? Still, they all are united by the absolutely gorgeous fantasy forest nature theme, granting each parallel universe a vast space for all the ideas to thrive on.

Mandalorian Fan Art: Not Just Baby Yoda

I may sound critical, but after the latest trilogy, Mandalorian was like a breath of fresh air. Discovering a whole new story inside the classical environment was a gift for all Star Wars fans. And it’s not a surprise that the second season was so warmly received by the community, so hungry for more — even if it’s just Mandalorian or Baby Yoda fan art.

Previously, I already shared some Star Wars fan art, searching to find the balance between my hugest love for the original story and so different Mandalorian — which I start liking more and more. It’s amazing how precisely and carefully it conveys the spirit of the world build by George Lucas back in the 70s. I felt like I was eight again, just meeting the characters and following Luke Skywalker with a beating heart. And now, after season 2 of Mandalorian, I have exactly the same feeling.

While there are fans like me, who are willing to explore Mandalorian art works for hours and purchase tons of Star Wars merchandise, there are also those who have never seen the trilogies and are on Tatooine for the first time. Oh, and there are also those who aren’t fascinated by the series but are totally in love with the charming Baby Yoda (or Grogu, as we finally know his name). Well, I can assure everyone to find their piece of cuteness in this selection.

Cyberpunk 2077 Art: Retrofuturism in Beams of Neon Light

Keanu Reeves cyberpunk appearance is not the only cool thing about the game. So I did some shallow googling before making this Cyberpunk 2077 art collection, to find out that the game has been in the development for about 7 years plus some extra months of adding the last touches. I really enjoyed The Witcher series, so this release seems to be promising as well. Especially with my love of sci-fi art.

The joy of watching teasers and trailers is in their ability to poke the imagination for a motley crew of fan illustrations, anticipating the plot, character’s appearances in diverse outfits, or the remakes of the actual figures in some radically different style. Well, the game is finally out and the fans all over the world love and hate it at the same time. Let’s get past the technical issues and admire the aesthetics of precious Cyberpunk 2077 concept art, depicting the futuristic sci-fi scenery and ingenious characters.

Retrofuturism Around Every Corner

There’s so much been said and shown about sci-fi and cyberpunk in general, I grew tired of constant Hotline Miami or Blade Runner references. Let there be a safe zone in this Cyberpunk 2077 art, where the one can truly enjoy the beauty of new city landscapes presentation and futuristic cars (sorry, but some of the familiar images have slipped in). Although one thing keeps entering my mind when looking at illustrations like these: why there are always pink and purple shades in almost every neon art? So grateful for the yellow-themed main poster for the game.

Style Meets Technologies

There are always many questions about this vision of the future, not only in this Cyberpunk 2077 art but in general. I’ll allow myself to be a bit cynical assuming that in this exact time of the upcoming technology generations, things will be less attractive and more functional. Right now it’s just entertaining to see this heavy-looking machinery embedded in the spring light coats. Nitpicking alert! Let this not disguise your experience of admiring Cyberpunk 2077 concept art images.

Follow the Superheroes With Avengers Fan Art

I’m sure everyone thinking of the superheroes comes up with exactly the same list of Marvel characters. Can’t tell when exactly I got charmed to bones by Tony Stark and Thor — or when I made Black Widow my role model. So I’m just happy I can finally share my passion with you in this series of Avengers art.

Why don’t you go up against the dull mundane things like working 9 to 5 or living precisely the same mornings day after day? There is much great stuff to come through instead, and joining the Avengers to save the world is the best option. Whoever is your icon: Captain, Iron Man, or Thor, allow yourself to get inspired by their way and feats — or by the artistic style they are drawn in.

If not fighting Thanos, there is plenty of cases where Hulk or Iron Man art can guide you through. Like not giving up on your goals or your fit (hey, Thor!), staying inventive in the trickiest situations, and seeing a perspective when everything seems lost. Wow, just think of how many great things these Marvel characters have given us within these decades!

Regain Your Cosmic Power via Sailor Moon Art

Even those, who’ve never watched this anime know Sailor Moon. As for me, I watched it many years ago, so collecting illustrations for this Sailor Moon art was like wallowing in pleasant memories from the past.

All Sailor Warriors are magnificent, it’s out of the question but Usagi Tsukino has stolen my heart once and forever. Oh, and I also wanted a black cat to name it Luna (who didn’t?). Unfortunately, rewatching this anime again in a more mature age would probably be very different from what it was back then. Runing old memories? No way! That’s why I just dedicated some time to browse through Sailor Moon fan art in the search of lost memories and nostalgia. And you know what? It turned out better than I expected. The series ended in 1997 but there are so many young artists who watch it and praise this story in each Sailor Moon drawing they make. I have enjoyed examining every piece from this collection before putting it all together; I’m sure you’ll grasp this Sailor Moon aesthetics like me.

I’d like to highlight the Sailor Moon art by Qing Han (Qinni). I saw her works on Instagram two years ago and, honestly, it was fascinating! Qinni was a remarkable artist and a brave cancer fighter, but unfortunately, she passed away earlier this month. So I would like to commemorate her in a separate section of Sailor Moon art by Qinni.

What makes me happier is that artists tried to avoid the habitual “anime-like” style when they were making these masterpieces: the majority of them are made in a unique, not typical Sailor Moon art style. Otherwise, it’s just redrawing the concept with slight corrections. There’s nothing bad about it, but let’s be honest, it exists in abundance already!

We’ve collected over fifty pieces of Harry Potter fan art, and there’s no doubt they’ll take you back to the journey from the Philosopher’s Stone to the Deathly Hallows.

I can perfectly remember myself, nine years old, reading the first book on the bench in the school gym. I borrowed it from a friend for a day, and it took me a few hours to swallow it. Since then, my life would never be the same. All the characters of Harry Potter series were as dear as a family to me, and even today, I am convinced that Wingardium Leviosa meme is the best thing to describe my whole life.

Every Harry Potter artwork here is a tribute to the most important story of my childhood — and I hope, you’ll share my nostalgic feelings. The adorable Luna Lovegood. Severus Snape who I still mourn. Harley Quinn Fan Art Energy is Stronger Than The Madhouse Wall

Even though the first appearance of Doctor Quinzel took place in the 90s’, it’s also been 3 movies already and I haven’t made at least one Harley Quinn art compilation. The time has come to fix this with the “Birds of Prey” as a recent reminder of this crazy & sexy character.

Insane, extremely attractive, clumsy, random and loveable — all of them are the characteristics, describing both the character and this collection of Harley Quinn fan art. Margot Robbie has surely brought something new to the imagery of Harley Quinn, even though I doubted her persona as the choice of actress for my favorite character from the DC universe. If in the first two parts of “Suicide Squad” she was both bohemian and quirky, the last movie unveils her childish side. And sure, it’s reflected through the costumes: I just love examining her outfits closely and dreaming of having the same or similar ones in my wardrobe.

This preamble to Harley Quinn pictures I’ve got here explains my choice of content. Traditionally, I add there all sorts of styles to discover the character in a new light, so that’s what I did here too. Couldn’t pass by the hot illustration of a Harley Quinn drawing with Poison Ivy or Gustav Klimt’s “The kiss” painting with Joker and Harley in it. Of course, the mainstream versions of Harley Quinn fan art are here too, there are just too many good ones to ignore them on principle.

Maybe one little thing to add from myself: I need more weapons! Bats and hammers are okay too but all Harley Quinn pictures had them at some point while I’d love to see more “instruments” somehow implemented and played around in the images. Or maybe it’s just the bad influence talking…
