Primarily, the staff was outstanding. They all spoke English and were extremely helpful, in setting me up in the hotel, providing directions to various tourist sites and help with using the metro. There was some construction effort on the street outside the hotel during my stay, but that work was being completed and should be gone shortly. The location of the hotel was centrally located. It was close to the metro (about three blocks walk), restaurants (three just right outside the hotel entrance and more down the block), a Pharmacy (green lit sign) was located about half a block down the street, plus a small grocery store at the end of the block, and several shopping districts within walking distance. The hallways to my room were narrow, but the room and bathroom were great. I loved the fact that I could open my window (the weather outside was 72 F/ 22 C). You can get regular (flat) water or sparkling water in the lobby to put in the refrigerator located in your room. Overall, I had a great stay, and would recommend Hotel Le Cardinal to all my friends and family.

The front staff were awesome and helpful. Great little coffee corner. We sat downstairs enjoying coffee and visiting with staff. Buffet manager was a awesome man along with housekeeping and other kitchen staff. Hotel is close to everything we wanted to do

I read a lot of reviews before booking this hotel. It's a wonderful small Parisian hotel. Quiet street, clean, average breakfast, tiny room and a couple blocks from the Metro. An easy commute to all the attractions. Avoid the big touristy hotels and spend your time in Paris in a small hotel like this.
