The lady at the front desk was very welcoming, put up with my bad sense of humor and dad jokes. Used tissues and spent gatorade bottle under the bed, on the other hand, were very unwelcome. Room smells very strongly of disinfectant. We have fragrance allergies in the group.

Great location, we walked to everything the entire stay.. It is old and dingy. The AC was not on so we were very hot and uncomfortable at night (we stayed out all day to avoid having to stay in a hot room) It could use some cosmetic work.. Just little things like maybe new lamp shades? Some paint? Some new doors/door knobs, Cleaning of baseboards etc. housekeeping did come everyday and vacuum/tidy up. When showering the water does suddenly get steaming hot out of nowhere, does it on and off a few times while showering. Was a little scary showering my 4 yr old not knowing when the steaming hot water would just appear. If you’re on a budget and need somewhere cheap to stay that’s close to everything, this is definitely the place. Just don’t expect anything great. Also, the hotel itself does not have parking. We had to park in a parking garage which totaled to $110. Harry’s is attached to the hotel, right under the room we stayed in so aside from being hot, you hear everyone drinking, talking, yelling, until like 2am. Along with the smell of them smoking marijuana. The windows definitely don’t block out any noise (or smell).

It is a good value for the location. Interesting place in a very convenient area. It’s a 2-star so, bearing that in mind, it’s really pretty good. All the other guests were great. I felt very comfortable here with my teenagers.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. The hotel is historic (old) but it was in nice condition and I found the oldness quaint and charming. The rooms are not modern but they had everything we needed for a 1 night stay. The location was great and there was a lot of shopping nearby. Walkable to a Caps game. My only complaint was that our room was hot and there was not a way to control the room temperature. But I would definitely stay here again!

Very convenient location for what I was there for (Warner Theater). The price for both the location and compared to other area hotels was a no brainer. I wasn't looking for 5 star or expecting it but I got a clean hotel room/hotel with the convenience of a restaurant and bar on site. Great location for what I was looking to do and able to walk around the city and feel safe. A clearly defined parking option would help either prior to check in or at check in. I spent over an hour finding a parking garage that suited my needs as far as 24/7 availability which was a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
